ACTIVE's Z900RS

This Z900RS was a custom model displayed in the Active booth at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. The concept of the customization was "street customization that the owner can realistically envision." Rather than using an abundance of expensive parts, the Z900RS uses mainly cost-effective items. The wheels are GALE SPEED. The 17-inch Type N wheels are used instead of the latest Type SB1 or the high-performance Type GP1S, and while they are less expensive than the Type SB1 and GP1S, they offer the performance of a lightweight wheel. As for the suspension, only the springs were changed to Hyper Pro for the front forks. The rear shock absorber was replaced with a HYPERPRO for a more supple suspension.

The front brake disc rotors and rear calipers have been replaced with GALE SPEED, with an emphasis on controllability. The exterior is cafe-style, but the handlebars are up, and a tapered handle, currently under development by the ACTIVE, is installed. Only the step bar has been changed to an ACTIVE step bar for a more comfortable riding position. The radiator is also an eye-catching feature, and while the radiator itself remains stock, a radiator guard has been installed on the side. The tail area was also dressed up with a fender eliminator kit and tape extension kit, making this machine a must-see for Z900RS users.

The ACTIVE's tapered handlebars are under development and will be super low to match the cafe style. Throttle is ACTIVE's High Throttle Kit EVO2, and bar ends are also made by ACTIVE.

Intake & Exhaust

The exhaust system is an AKRAPOVIC JMCA-spec slip-on line. The matte black silencer matches the form of the Z900RS.

Bodyworks

The front fender is made of Nexray's dry carbon fiber and have the same shape as the stock. Clear paint is applied so that the carbon can be seen to reduce weight and dress up the fender.

The fender eliminator kit from the ACTIVE was used to create a clean tail area. The stock tail light, which is flush with the tail cowl, was moved backward with the tail extension kit to give it an air-cooled Z look.

Chassis

The rear brake caliper is a GALE SPEED elabolate rear caliper with a 60mm pitch radial mount, mounted via an optional caliper support. The brake master is a GALE SPEED Φ12 diameter.

The front brake has been replaced with GALE SPEED cross-lock disc rotors that are resistant to heat and provide high stopping power. GALE SPEED type N wheels are installed for cost effectiveness.

The step holders and pedals remained stock, and only the step bars were replaced with ACTIVE's foldable aluminum step bars. The knurling all the way to the end provides a good hold.
