[FAQs]
Q: Do these signals require any wiring or splicing?
A: No - these signals are completely plug and play.
Q: The signals have a 3 pin connector but my signals only have 2.
How do I install?
A: Some bikes outside of North America will only have 2 pins.
For bikes with a two pin signal plug you would take the pins out of the three conductor plug on the halo-1 signals.
The wires in our plug have crimped on metal connectors.
You will insert the halo-1 black wire crimp into your plug position that has the green wire.
Then the halo-1 red wire crimp will go into the remaining slot on your bike's plug.
Use electrical tape around the plug with the pins in it and make a nice tight electrical tape junction.
You will be left with the green wire from the halo-1 signals.
If you leave it disconnected you will not have the running light.
At this point you can run a wire from the positive lead on your low beam headlight to each of the green wires on the halo-1's.
This will give you running lights when the bike is on,and they will shut off with the bike.
You can also opt to run a wire to the positive terminal on the battery and use a fuse and a switch on that connection.
The fuse should be immediately next to the battery, and the switch should be accessible somewhere for you so you can switch the halo-1 running light on and off at your will.
Q: Do these signals have running lights?
A: Yes! In a variety of color choices.
Q: Do I need a flasher relay?
A: Installing aftermarket LED lights may cause your signals to flash faster than the OEM speed.
Purchasing one of our LED flasher relays will correct this problem.
